After the Science Presentations on Friday we had a sit down dinner. Then followed by the final slideshow. Saturday everyone helped to pack up and close Portals for 2010. The Student final concert at 4:00 was amazing and the Shanghai Quartet with Melvin Chen and our Resident Quartet was the closing concert. The Concert was a benefit concert and all proceeds were put to a student scholarship.
And now it is Sunday morning and students are quietly seeing other students off. Our first batch of students left campus at 5:15 a.m. for BDL. Tears are flowing and I must say that this group of kids have been remarkable. ALL PARENTS SHOULD BE PROUD AND KNOW THAT THEY HAVE DONE A FINE JOB AT PREPARING AND SENDING THEIR SONS AND DAUGHTERS OFF TO US. We thank you for sharing them with us. I close with one of Mr. Barkers favorite phrases....."GOD SPEED!" peace until we meet again....we will miss you all.
